The weather in Paris is pretty dramatic this week... Which is great!
After a year in New York, where every building is painted in red, green, or another quite vibrant color, Paris does look a bit pale... But in black and white, OH MY.
While I was setting up, a young chemist approached me. He liked photography too, and we talked about gear, contest, and scientific photography (check it out!). He went his way, I finished setting up, and here's the resulting picture.
I meet people every time I go out to take pictures, especially when I'm using my 4x5 large format camera. I'll try to tell more about these random encounters, as for me, each photograph is attached to a memory of people I met while taking it.

Après une année à New York où tous les bâtiments sont assez colorés, Paris me paraît bien pâle... Mais pas en noir et blanc !
Pendant que je m'installais, un jeune chimiste m'a approché. Photographe amateur, il m'a parlé de matériel, on a discuté de concours, de photo scientifique (allez voir si vous ne connaissez pas !)... Il s'en est allé, et j'ai pris cette photo.
Je rencontre des gens systématiquement quand je sors prendre des photos, a fortiori quand je sors avec ma chambre grand format. Je vais parler plus de ces rencontres, dont chaque photo que je prend me rappelle le souvenir.
