In common use, the body of work left by an artist. In the singular, a work considered as a whole: the image, the object it lives in, and the hands that made it one.
Every commission begins with a conversation about the room, its proportions, its light, how that light moves through it at different hours. We'll then talk about color and mood, and how the piece will fit into the room. From there I work out each decision in order: image, paper, printing process, frame, whether the piece works on its own or alongside something else in the room. None of it is decided before we talk.
Everything is made by hand. I select and sometimes prepare the paper, mix my own inks, print each piece drawing on both modern and older processes, and carve every wooden frame.
The piece can be a statement piece in your room, or a subtle addition to your collection.
A selection of work is available through Galerie PORTFOLIO in Paris. Editioned prints, signed and numbered, each with a certificate of authenticity.
